"Good course, really well marshalled. But considering the race takes place in the middle of the summer, could you start it a bit earlier to avoid the worst of the heat?"

"Thanks for a great day on Sunday – it must take hours of organising!

My family – that’s us in the shot of 4 exhausted but happy runners (see photos) (numbers 191 – 194) ran this for the first time and really enjoyed ourselves.

Considering that 6 months ago my husband was 4 stone heavier and a non runner and that at Christmas I could only run on the treadmill for one track on my Ipod before walking we were all delighted that we had a local event to aim for and are even more thrilled that we all finished! No one walked either!

Please pass our thanks to all concerned with the event; we will be back next year! "
