If you know the name of your virus we would first recommend visiting the Symantec website to search for a removal tool. This is a program which when run, will scan your computer for a particular virus and, if found, will attempt to remove it. If a removal tool is not available, removal can be done manually.

Viruses, adware and spyware by nature tend to be written to avoid removal so can be difficult to rid of. It may involve taking action which can render your machine useless if not done correctly. If your machine is riddled with infections it may be a good idea to 'blank' the machine and to re-install Windows and all the other software from scratch. Again we can do this and we can back up all the documents you wish to keep.
